In this session, attendees will learn the basics of two game-based learning programs and how to use them to make teaching less stressful in a post-COVID world. Using games to teach does not mean the students are working on the computer independently, but that you are able to make recommendations for both academics and social skills simultaneously, encouraging problem solving in both academic, game, and social situations. Technology is a critical skill, and using games to teach while you are involved and interacting with students is a great way to decrease the anxiety of social pressures while allowing them to practice the necessary social and academic skills using an avatar.
