"One thing about integrating tech into Teaching and Learning is that Teaching is great but the learning only sticks with Deliberate Practice. First in Math is Deliberate Practice in K-8 math where students lock in the skills taught. Students learn by doing and figuring it out for themselves.

First in Math is the online version of the 24game that is becoming available off-line to provide uninterrupted access to deliberate practice for students. We'll cover the following ways to get kids excited about math!
How to engage students in deliberate practice to accelerate learning and lock in the skills taught in class.
How to provide challenge in math rather than drill and kill to attain fluency, flexible thinking, and understanding through patterning and playing with numbers (not memorization).
How to engage through student agency.
Demonstrate a myriad of different ways to practice each operation; even fractions, decimals and integers - up through procedural fluency and algebra.
Strategies for keeping kids practicing daily with minimal teacher time - through goal setting, friendly competition and recognition.
How to free teachers to have more teaching time and focus on the needs of individual students.
