Professor Eric McClellan has always been a person to have the gift of gab and an empathetic ear for listening. His journey in the world of education has taken him from Huntsville, Texas, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University to Prairie View A&M University where he obtained his Masters of Educational Administration and then to Texas Southern University where he received his Master of Arts in Communication. With twenty years of experience in the world of education, all of which have been in the area of Speech Communication, Professor McClellan has taught at the high school and collegiate level ranging from face to face, to hybrid, to online instruction. His communication skills are vast and has impacted thousands of students under his watch, guidance, and facilitation. He has been known to capture the imagination of his students with his unique ability of incorporating pop culture into his real world examples. His dedication and hard work shows as Professor McClellan was a 2018 Teacher of the Year at MacArthur Sr High and was a 2019 Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award winner at Lone Star College-University Park.
When he finds time to get a break from his professional life, he is a hands on father to two dynamic daughters, a recreational video gamer, and often on a mission to find the perfect taco.
